Undergraduate Research Assistant
James Kolb is pursuing a BA in History at the University of Connecticut, with a double minor in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has become increasingly captivated by the dynamic relationship between history and geography. Through effective use of GIS technology and historical research methods, James believes that spatially visualizing human moments from the past can offer compelling optics on the present. These interests have propelled him into several projects involving community outreach, public history, environmental studies, and human rights. Additionally, his hobbies include photography, staring at clouds, and talking about space.
