Catherine Masud is an award-winning filmmaker with over 25 years of experience in producing, directing and editing, working in both documentary and fictional genres. Her films have been screened at major festivals and released in many countries worldwide. She produced, co-wrote and edited Matir Moina (The Clay Bird), which won the International Critics’ Prize at Cannes and became the first Bangladeshi film to compete in the Oscars. Her latest film project is A Double Life, a feature documentary about a civil rights lawyer who spent 13 years on the run from the FBI. She holds an MFA in Film from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BA in Development Studies from Brown University.
