Tim Miller

Greenhouse Studios Mellon Design Fellow


Tim Miller is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Media & Design. Prior to joining DMD, Tim was a research writer for University Communications at UConn. An alumnus of the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, Tim brings a diverse background in both the arts and the sciences to the Department. His resume includes posts at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Boston Museum of Science, and the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California. He has appeared as a guest lecturer on the topic of science communication at universities from coast to coast, and has been a consultant to the National Science Foundation. Most recently, Tim is the author of Muse of Fire: Storytelling & The Art of Science Communication. Tim holds an A.B. in Physics and an M.S. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College. His current work includes project management on the Finotype and Charles V projects.
